The Almont Resort
A great base for Black Canyon fishing!
Welcome Angler,
Our August 2007 trip to The Almont Resort was memorable.
Located between Crested Butte and Gunnison, Colorado
on Highway 135, the easy drive to Almont provided
a scenic start to our long weekend.
Checking in was convenient at the front desk located
right next to Almont Anglers, the resort's professional
fishing guide and outfitter.
Our group settled in to the Kokanee Cabin, a new guest house
nestled streamside along the fish-loaded East River.
Two refrigerators provided ample space for our provisions
and three bedrooms gave us more than enough room.
We ate meals in between the fishing and sight-seeing,
enjoying tremendous portions, mouth-watering cooking,
and gracious service from the resort's Dining Room and Bar 47.
Be sure to try the huge T-bone!
Fish jumped all weekend and our stay was superb.
